Dargaville Swimming Pool

The Kaipara and Dargaville District Council’s new Olympic sized swimming pool opened on 20th December 2009. This project is the result of a huge effort by the Councils, Contractors and residents of the area. The pool floor was designed using the Reid StressFloor unbonded post-tensioning system as it reduced the required slab thickness and minimised construction joints.

An approved installer of the Reid Stressfloor system, Grouting Services was successful in securing the subcontract for the supply and installation of the post-tensioning works for the 50m pool floor. The floor was was completed in 2-pours to match the floor gradient.
