Grouting Services has provided specialist civil engineering contracting services since 1971.

Richard Tunnicliffe

Richard has been in the construction industry for more than 30 years, joining Grouting Services in 1981. He has a formidable knowledge of the construction industry and has played a significant role in many specialist civil engineering projects involving post-tensioning, ground anchoring and grouting carried out in New Zealand. Richard started as a field operative and became a key member of the construction team which worked on many of the iconic contracts in the 1980’s and 1990’s. He then moved into an administrative role which enabled him to strengthen the standing of the business and set a path for expansion by placing the right people in the right positions.

Peter Adye

Peter has more than 25 years national and international experience in foundation engineering and is intimately involved in all operational aspects of Grouting Services. With a New Zealand Certificate of Engineering (Civil) and a Bachelor of Science Degree, Peter has developed a very professional approach to business and is well regarded by his peers in the industry. His construction career began with Brian Perry Civil Limited, where he was involved with the project management of large and complex projects. Peter has fostered relationships under partnering contracts such as the Freeflow Alliance which has enabled him to develop a real understanding of all stakeholders’ interests through collaborating with diversely talented team members and integrating their divergent thoughts, opinions, and perspectives into meaningful actions.

David Sharp

David holds a Bachelor of Civil Engineering (Honours), is a member of The Institution of Professional Engineers New Zealand and is registered. David has extensive experience in the local construction market having worked for companies that lead New Zealand in their specialist fields, namely Downer Construction, Tonkin & Taylor, Construction Techniques and Pro-Drill. David understands the construction implications of design well and has particular experience in post-tensioning, ground anchoring and soil nailing. He is regularly consulted for expertise in these fields having had substantial exposure to the full spectrum of design and construct. He is a solution-driven professional with more than 25 years of significant, progressive engineering experience. He has also authored several technical papers.

Peter Ensor

Peter graduated with an honours degree in Civil Engineering in 1999 and has worked in varying roles in civil construction throughout New Zealand and the UK since this time. Construction projects include Airports, Wastewater Treatment Plants, Piling, Drainage, Gas Pipelines, Earthworks, Rail and Roading. Recent project-based roles include: Manager of the Earthworks and Major Drainage at the SH20 Mt Roskill Motorway Extension which was an excellent introduction to Alliancing; Project Manager of the Westfield to Southdown Gas Pipeline in Mt Wellington and the Drainage and Track Lowering of the Parnell Rail Tunnel. As Contracts Manager of a major civil contractor Peter was involved in the day to day management of all project staff in the Northern region, along with the extensive plant fleet. A recent addition to the Grouting Services group, he is a key member of the estimating and construction team.
